Arrest Made in Child's Death - Acadiana's Multi-Media News Station

A Baton Rouge teenager has been arrested following the accidental shooting and death of a two year old.

According to police, 18 year old Terrance Varise was playing with a handgun when he accidentally shot two year old Travin Varise.

The incident occurred yesterday evening. The toddler died this morning at a Baton Rouge hospital from gunshot injuries.

Varise was arrested and booked into the east Baton Rouge Parish prison for cruelty to a juvenile, felon in possession of a firearm, and negligent homicide.
