Lafayette, La. (AP) - A Lafayette business man who was a key opponent to a waste transfer facility is making sure it has no chance of ever happening.
Danny Guilliot, bought the 16 acre tract of land off Sunbeam Lane after plans for the station were halted last year.
It was scratched by the city parish council after nearby residents and business owners like Guilliot complained about it's location.
By buying the land guilliot says he's keeping the trash out and wanted to make sure the project would not be revived.
