
Faith House, a Lafayette women's shelter is receiving major budget cuts as the state moves away from costly residential care for family violence prevention programs.
One million dollars is being cut from battered women's shelters across the state. Faith house will be cut more than 123,000 dollars from their budget. Executive Director Billi Lacomb says this is a tremendous effect to their organization.
Faith house provides shelter for up to 700 women and children a year.
