10 Arrested in Port Barre "Operation Naughty List"

Port Barre police arrested 10 people in an early morning narcotics distribution round up.

"Operation Naughty List", got underway early this morning, executing the first warrant at 4:00 a.m. and the last warrant at 4:24 a.m.

Port Barre police split into two teams, each with a list of warrants. One team went to the North end of town and the other team to the South end of town. Within 24 minutes, all warrants were executed.

The following people were arrested: 

Joshua Simmons (22) 17593 Hwy 190 - Principal to Distribution of Schedule I Narcotics and I count of Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotics.

Corey Simmons (19) 17593 Hwy 190 - Principal to Distribution of Schedule I Narcotics and I count of Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotics.

While executing the arrests on the Simmons brother, police also located a small amount of marijuana in the residence. Both were charge with an additional possession of Marijuana charge.

Frank Bergeron (42) 17577 Hwy 190- Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotic

Nicholas Sam (19) Carlin Street- Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotic

Justin Gilbert (25) - Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotic, Illegal Use of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in the Presence of a Juvenile, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Alonzo Thomas (43) 236 Martin Luther King Drive- Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotic

Wayne Bolden (24) 105 Seneca- Principal to Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotic

Linda Bellard (43) 133 Nezat Street- Distribution of Schedule III Narcotic and Violation of Uniform CDS Law; Drug Free School Zone and Resisting Arrest.

Cherie Williams (56) 17577 Hwy 190- Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotic and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Williams was not initially part of the round up but was in possession of illegal narcotics when officer went to her home to execute arrest warrants on two other individuals.

Elvis Breaux (53) 17577 Hwy 190- Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotic
