Suspect Threatens Sheriff’s Office

An Opelousas man is behind bars after making terrorizing threats to the Saint Landry Parish Sheriff's Office. Christopher Lemon (31) is facing charges for telephone communication harassment, terrorizing, and 8 counts of communicating false information of planned arson.

The Saint Landry Parish Sheriff's Eunice substation allegedly received several phone calls from Lemon advising the dispatcher that he was getting gasoline and was planning to blow up the sheriff's office.

Lemon was arrested and taken to Saint Landry Parish Jail where he remains without bond.
