Cocaine Stolen From Police Evidence

Five people have now been arrested in connection to cocaine that was stolen from an East Baton Rouge Parish evidence vault.

Two of those arrested; 30 year old William Colvin and his girlfriend 55 year old Debra Bell worked in the clerk of courts office.

Colvin's accused of stealing seven kilograms for cocaine from the evidence vault after he was given a key back in October.

Investigators say both Colvin and Bell have admitted to passing the cocaine on to others for sale in the Baton Rouge area.

Both have been charged with malfeasance in office, theft and distribution of cocaine in excess of 400 grams.
