Chris Cook - Acadiana's Multi-Media News Station

Chris Cook

A lifelong resident of Louisiana, Chris has called Acadiana and KLFY home since 1997. Beginning his career in news, Chris has covered a variety of events and people ranging from international trade expositions in France, Belgium and China, to events closer to home like Hurricanes Katrina & Rita and the St. Martinville jail hostage crisis in 1999.

Chris transitioned his career from daily news coverage to begin working on station promotions and sponsored events in 2006. This change offered the opportunity to begin learning the technical aspects of the television industry as it rocketed into the digital age. This in turn led to his promotion as station Marketing Director two years later.

As Marketing Director Chris was the community liaison for many of the station's sponsored events including the iconic Food for Families food drive. His pivotal role in developing KLFY's online frontier helped advanced the station's digital presence in order to keep it up-to-date as technology changed and online use increased.

This led to his promotion to Digital Sales Manager where Chris now works closely with clients to make sure their advertising reaches the right audience on the right devices. This crucial task ensures proper utilization of the multitude of digital properties and technologies that KLFY now has to offer Acadiana businesses, no matter how big or small! KLFY has an advertising solution that will help you find your customers.

Chris is available for digital consultations and can teach you how to make the most out of the new and ever changing, online and mobile frontier!
