The public-private partnership between UMC and LGMC is a win-win for both hospitals. It was the best news in months for the LSU Medical System. It's not only an agreement that will keep UMC open for years to come, but is also expected to attract some of the best doctors of the future. Monday afternoon, Department of Health and Hospitals Secretary Bruce Greenstein along with LSU Medical System officials and state law makers held a press conference at Lafayette General Medical Center to announce the public private partnership between LGMC and University Medical Center in Lafayette.
