Duck Hunting Teen Injured - Acadiana's Multi-Media News Station

Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's deputies say a 15 year old boy was shot in the head in a duck-hunting accident in Livonia.

The boy, whose name has not been released, suffered a serious head injury Saturday after he was shot with a 12-gauge shotgun.

The teen was one of three boys in a boat in Grosse Tete Bayou. One of the other hunters, also 15, swung to shoot at a duck but shot the victim instead.

The wounded boy is being treated at our lady of the lake regional medical center in Baton Rouge.
