LAFAYETTE – Louisiana's 31-27 victory over Western Kentucky in come-from-behind fashion on Saturday, scoring two touchdowns in the final six minutes, made the Ragin' Cajuns bowl eligible for the second straight year.
Ragin' Cajuns fans are urged to make their plans and order tickets immediately.
Although the actual bowl that Louisiana (6-4, 4-2 Sun Belt) will play in may not be known until as late as Dec. 1, the Cajundome Ticket Office will begin taking orders for tickets immediately.
Fans can download the ticket order form located at the Bowl Central page on RaginCajuns.com, select the bowl games that they wish to attend and submit them via mail, email or in person to the Cajundome ticket office. The ticket office is open Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
The Sun Belt Conference has bowl tie-ins with both the New Orleans and GoDaddy.com bowls, but a shortage of bowl eligible teams in other conferences will lead to Louisiana being considered for as many as 10 different bowl games this year. A list of potential bowl games is on the order form.
Fans can also order tickets by calling the Cajundome ticket office at (337) 265-2100 during business hours.
Fans are reminded to purchase tickets only through the Ragin' Cajuns Athletics Department because these purchases help the department continue to establish a history of selling tickets for bowl games. In addition, the athletics department will be allotted the best seats available for the game.
In keeping with the priorities established over the last year, RCAF 2012 Annual Fund Donors will receive seating priority based on their donor level, having until Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 to purchase their tickets.
Once the RCAF members are seated, remaining seats will be assigned to 2012 football season ticket holders, current Louisiana students in the Bowl "Red Zone" and the general public. All seats in these three categories will be assigned on Dec. 6 on a first-come, first-served basis.
RCAF donors can purchase as many tickets as desired, but the number of priority seats will be determined by their annual fund donation as of Dec. 6, 2012. Visit RCAF4UL.com for donor benefits and how to make a donation.
