Louisiana Lunch Money is a local non-profit organization that helps provide lunch to local public school students if they can't afford to pay for lunch.
In the past two years, the program has provided lunch to more than 7,000 students in Lafayette Parish and with the help of the community donating to the cause, more kids will be able to benefit from the program.
Right now Louisiana Lunch Money serves kids in Lafayette Parish, but kids in Saint Martin and Iberia Parishes will soon benefit from the program as well.
Every Wednesday in November, if you dine out at any one of these locations a portion of your proceeds will be donated to Louisiana Lunch Money.
All day today you can visit chili's grill and bar restaurant in Lafayette or New Iberia to participate in the fundraiser.
