Like most, if not all of you, we all have heard something about the devastation caused by ‘superstorm" Sandy. Med Express has set up a Strike Team in the New Jersey Area, offering assistance and helping where there is need.
In the different areas that's been hit by "superstorm" Sandy, there are people literally walking around begging for any assistance they can get. Our thoughts immediately turned to figuring out how we here in St.Landry Parish and other surrounding areas can help. So our answer is to start a relief drive. It will be simple and direct. We'll collect items at our location and then personally deliver them to the different areas where they'll go directly to people in immediate need.
If you'd like to be involved in this relief effort, we're collecting:
Children vitamins Pillows
Feminine Products Band Aids
Body Wash First Aid Kit
Hand Sanitizer Ace Bandages
Non Perishable Food Items Neosporin
Bottled water Work Gloves
You can bring the items to our location during normal business hours. As we accumulate things we'll personally deliver then for distribution. In addition, to kick off our drive Med Express along with our troops will be donating 50 boxes.
I'd like to personally thank all of you for your support for so many years, and for making me so proud of this community. Our Help for Haiti project back in 2010 was a success, thanks to you all. One of the most rewarding things about this profession is having the opportunity to get to know so many of you and your families.
