Galaxy Outsells Apple - Acadiana's Multi-Media News Station

Samsung's Galaxy "S" Three has dethroned Apple's iPhone Four "S" becoming the world's best-selling smartphone in the third quarter.  Strategy Analytics says 18 million Galaxy S Three phones were shipped worldwide in the quarter, compared with 16-point-two million iPhone Four S's.  But Galaxy's reign atop the sales rankings could be short-lived.  Strategy Analytics says iPhone Four S sales waned in the quarter as consumers waited for the iPhone Five, which went on sale September 21st.  The third quarter ended about a week after its release.
