Veterans History Project

10 a.m. to 12 noon
South Regional Library on Johnston Street in Lafayette
Veterans are encouraged to attend to share their military experiences, which will be videotaped and audiotaped and sent to the Library of Congress to be archived.

Open to all military veterans and  their families

Veterans Day Appreciation Event

7-9 p.m.
Opelousas Civic Center (across from Walmart)
Hosted by "Smile, God is Here, INC."
Admission:  Free
All veterans will be asked to register at the door, then drawings will be held for a variety of prizes, including:
-Grand prize giveaway is $1,000 in cash, courtesy of the Walmart Foundation
 -Heating/cooling window units and insulated windows
-Gas cards
-Dinner for 2
-Grocery discounts and more
 
Port Barre High School's Veterans' Day Program
Monday the 12th at 9 a.m. in the school gymnasium.
 
Golden Corral's Annual Military Appreciation Monday Dinner
Free dinner for Vets Monday November 12th from 4PM to 9PM
