Nearly two million voters took part in 2012 Presidential Election here in Louisiana. Here in Acadiana, voters stood in line for nearly 2 hours.
Lines began forming early Tuesday morning. More than 300,000 voters showed up at the polls in Acadiana alone.
Here is a break down of the numbers per parish: more than $98,000 people voted in Lafayette parish.
Over $41,000 voted in Saint Landry Parish. Just over 33,000 people voted in Iberia Parish.
More than 20,000 voters hit the polls in Acadia, Saint Martin, Saint Mary, and Vermilion. Over 15 thousand voted in Evangeline Parish. And more than $13,000 turned out in Jeff Davis Parish.
