In its third year, Paragon Casino Resort's Boogie for the Bayou celebrates the culture of Louisiana while raising awareness and funds for a worthy cause. On November 24, Swamp Pop and Zydeco bands will come together to entertain guests in Paragon Casino Resort's Mari Showroom. Beginning at 3pm Swamp Pop entertainers Louisiana Express, Johnnie Allan, T.K. Hulin and Tommy McLain will perform. The Zydeco Show kicks off at 8pm with Travis Matte and Chris Ardoin. Tickets are available for $15 per show or $25 for both shows. Proceeds benefit a different charitable organization each year. This year's recipient is the Spring Bayou Restoration Team (SBRT). SBRT was established in 2007 to bring Spring Bayou back to its original beauty and recreation potential. Through cooperation with local, state and federal agencies, as well as individuals and organizations, efforts are made each year to improve Spring Bayou and its tributaries. We are thrilled to be the beneficiaries of this year's Boogie for the Bayou event," says Marcus Juneau, Board President of SBRT. "With support from Paragon Casino Resort and this community, we know our goal of bringing Spring Bayou Complex to its past pristine beauty can be achieved." "Boogie for the Bayou has raised $45,000 over the past two years for organizations such as The United Houma Nation and The Nature Conservancy," says Peter Fordham, General Manager of Paragon Casino Resort. "We are thrilled to put on this wonderful show for such worthy causes." Paragon Casino Resort is also offering concert goers a special hotel package. The $139 rate includes two tickets to the 3pm and 8pm show as well as a room in the North or South Tower of the hotel. Use special code BFBPKG to book today.
