A live alligator infiltrated the TV10 news room Thursday afternoon. It was all an effort to promote "Brudley's Wild Game Cook -Off" a Boys and Girls Club Benefit.
New Iberia, LA – Get ready for some great food! Cooking teams are firing up their pots & pans once again for the 10th Annual Brudley's Wild Game Cook-Off benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs! The event will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the Sugarena in New Iberia from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Food will be served from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $20 per person, $10 for kids 6-12 years of age and free for kids 5 and under. Guest will get to taste dishes such as wild game, seafood, jambalaya and dessert. Those attending will not only sample outstanding food, but dance along with the wonderful music being played by The Bad Boys. There will also be an exotic animal exhibit, a silent auction, face painting and trick or treating for the kids. For memories of this unforgettable experience each guest will have the opportunity to take pictures with The Kliebert's the original Swamp People and a real Alligator! The will have a variety of alligators all different sizes.
Elise Brunson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the Boys & Girls Clubs says, The Boys & Girls Clubs are very proud of the positive impact we have on many children in our community. This exciting and entertaining event is one of the ways that the Boys & Girls Clubs are able to accomplish the great work we do in the New Iberia Club. The Boys & Girls Clubs provide children with confidence and a brighter future. People come from all over Acadiana to support the Brudley's Wild Game Cook-Off and this year should be one of the most exciting and well attended events ever. There will be a variety of great food for people to enjoy. The event will also include an exotic animal exhibit, a silent auction and great music by the Bad Boys. The Boys & Girls Clubs are also very excited about our special guests the original Swamp People. Those who attend will be given an opportunity to have their photograph taken with the Swamp People and a live alligator. We hope everyone gets a chance to come and enjoy these wonderful festivities. The proceeds received from this event will help the Boys and Girls Clubs improve the lives of many children in the community.
