BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Wildlife agents say a 34-year-old hunter from Houma has been charged with killing a doe and possessing marijuana.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says Ryan Young was cited on Oct. 11 while he was hunting in Terrebonne Parish.
He was accused of having an untagged doe that he had killed with a bow and arrow and of possessing marijuana. Agents say only bucks were supposed to be hunted.
Young was charged with taking an illegal deer during the open season, failing to comply with deer-tagging regulations and illegal possession of marijuana.
He faces fines and jail time as well as civil restitution for the value of the illegally taken deer in the amount of $1,624.61.
