LPD SWAT Responds to Domestic Shooting

Sunday Lafayette Police responded to the 100 block of Nora Street regarding gun shots being fired in the area.

When officers arrived on scene they attempted to have a 28-year old woman come outside to speak with officers. The suspect discharged the weapon inside of the residence multiple times. Lafayette Police Department's S.W.A.T team and negotiators were able to convince the suspect to exit the home.

The suspect was transported to a medical facility for evaluation. The incident remains under investigation
