Sinkhole in Assumption Parish Update

The sinkhole in Assumption Parish has been linked to a Houston based company, Texas Brine. Data conducted by the Louisiana Office of Conservation shows a series of problems, such as the natural gas bubbling up in local bayous, and a sinkhole that swallowed about 4 acres of forest. The Conservation Commissioner ordered the company to do more testing, monitoring and analysis to understand what is happening underground.
