
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Keep Louisiana Beautiful has awarded the University of Louisiana System with a $30,000 grant for various projects around the state.
From now until June, The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/Ot8zQ9 ) the nine universities in the UL System will create student-led projects focusing on environmental and cleanup activities.
Each of the nine schools will participate in a recycling awareness event and a community cleanup as part of the grant.
Keep Louisiana Beautiful is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to reducing litter and other beautification projects.
