Jeanerette FD Pet Oxygen Masks

Posted:

The Jeanerette Volunteer Fire Department is used to putting out flames but they also help victims rescued from the blaze. Those victims also include our pets. But what happens when they need help?

Well the volunteer fire department is doing their part by carrying with them pet oxygen masks. They are the first fire department in Iberia parish to have them thanks to the generosity of one pet lover.

According to Chief Mitch Dubois Sr, Ms. Janet Romero volunteered to purchase the oxygen masks for the department, which Dubois says will help his department administer oxygen to animals when seconds matter.

The masks come in three different sizes, fitting animals ranging from your four legged friend to birds.
