
OPELOUSAS, La. (AP) - A St. Landry Parish grand jury has indicted a 21-year-old Opelousas man on a manslaughter charge in connection with a stabbing death in April.
Joseph Guy Jr. is charged in the death of 20-year-old Tevin Terrell Garrette.
Opelousas police said Garrette was found in a street the night of April 18 with multiple stab wounds.
He was taken to a local hospital where he later died. Guy was arrested shortly after the incident. It was unclear whether he has an attorney.
