LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - The Lake Charles Port Board has agreed to create a fund of up to $3 million to help the National Hurricane Museum and Science Center. The port and museum officials will work to create a cooperative endeavor agreement. No money will be transferred to the museum until it is in place, officials said. The agreement will be negotiated with the museum through a committee appointed by the board. Its recommendation will go before the board for final approval.
