GRETNA, La. (AP) - Jefferson Parish has launched its redesigned government website.
The site, www.jeffparish.net , offers new, user-friendly interactive features, new online services and a design distinct to the parish.
Authorities say the homepage links visitors directly to real-time updates on area weather and traffic reports; provides live streaming video of JPTV, the parish government access channel; and a service request section which allows residents to report issues at any time of the day or night, such as street light outages.
Other useful features include online payments for water and parish taxes, current job postings, department directories, parish council meeting agendas and the option to translate the site into multiple languages, including Spanish and Vietnamese, to better serve parish residents.
