Voting Registration Deadline Approaching - Acadiana's Multi-Media News Station

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Louisiana residents have until Oct. 9 to register to vote for the November election that includes presidential, congressional and local races.

Secretary of State Tom Schedler says people can register to vote at www.GeauxVote.com , at their parish registrar of voters' office, by mail or at public assistance agencies, public schools, colleges and libraries.

The next election is Nov. 6.
