Authorities in Opelousas arrested 19 year old Jamez Brown on home invasion charges.

On September 17, Detectives interviewed Jamez Brown, A.K.A. "Black", regarding a home invasion. Brown admitted to firing two gun shots through the door to gain entry into the residence. Once inside, Brown pointed a shotgun towards the victims head. Brown also admitted to fleeing the scene in the victim's vehicle.

St. Landry Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Captain Megan Vizena said Jamez Brown was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail and is currently facing charges of home invasion, armed robbery, theft of a firearm, theft of a moveable, and 2 counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

"Brown did not act alone in this crime. He was accompanied by 2 juveniles who detectives also charged with home invasion," Vizena added.

The juveniles were released to their parents and Brown is being held in the St. Landry Parish Jail with no bond.
