
State Police are investigating an officer involved shooting in Breaux Bridge.
Wednesday, detectives with Louisiana State Police were requested by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office to investigate a shooting involving one of their Deputies.
On September 12, 2012, at about 3:30 p.m., Deputies responded to a 911 call at 1129A Saltmine Road in Breaux Bridge.
When the first Deputy arrived on the scene, he encountered 32-year-old Laquantin Green of Opelousas, who was armed with a handgun.
The Deputy fired his handgun, striking Green in the upper torso.
At last report green was in stable condition. Charges in the case are still pending.
