Henderson officers remain on the job

The two top members of the Henderson police department are back on the job despite getting into some hot water with the State Inspector General's Office.

In August, Police Chief Leroy Guidry and Deputy Chief Oliver Mack Lloyd were implicated in an investigation that alleged the department was using a quota system to pay officers according to the number of tickets they wrote.

Those in question were initially charged with nine counts of filing false public records, nine counts of payroll fraud and one count of malfeasance in office.

Henderson Mayor, Sherbin Collette says any wrong doing involving the police department was unintentional and he stands behind them.

It is unclear weather any additional charges will be filed.
