Cochon restaurant was the spot for a big fundraiser to support CODOFIL. Lâche Pas was held Sunday evening in response after budget cuts imposed on CODOFIL, The Council for the Development of French in Louisiana, by the state.
The event offered a variety of local cuisine by restaurants such as: Saint Street Inn, French Press, Cochon, and The Black Pot All Stars.
Music performances from Corey Ledet and his Zydeco Band, Feufollet, and Wayne Toups delighted the crowd.
Lâche Pas was a volunteer driven celebration of Cajun & Creole music and food. Partners included Festival International de Louisiane, Festivals Acadiens et Créoles, Cochon Restaurant, Blackpot Festival, Louisiana Folk Roots, Blue Moon Saloon and FrancoJeunes.
