Habitat for Humanity Property

Habitat for Humanity has been a positive force in Lafayette since 1992 and continues to build affordable housing for low-income families in the hub city.

That positive initiative put out by the organization is one reason Lafayette's community development and the city government donated six plots of land around the downtown area four plots of land are on Marne Street and the other two are on Sterling. That donation of land fits perfectly with the organizations long range of plans for revitalizing that area.

Construction on those houses should begin this fall. If you would like to donate your time, money, or materials you can visit their Facebook page or call their Lafayette office at 337 261 5041
