St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Arrests - Acadiana's Multi-Media News Station

According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests.

Reginald T. Martin, 35, 149 Pickett St, Charenton, LA was arrested on August 14, 2012 at 12:15 pm at the address above on a warrant for theft ($500). Martin was located at his residence on the warrant. The investigation began after the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office received a complaint of a stolen mobile phone. Martin was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $20,000.

Ricky Mire, Jr., 31,  Venus St. Lot A, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on August 14, 2012 at 10:45 am at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin, LA on warrants for theft by fraud, illegal possession of stolen things, and simple burglary. Mire was developed as a suspect in an investigation involving the theft of power tools from a residence in Bayou Vista. The victim of the crime was able to provide the serial numbers of the stolen items. Investigators learned that Mire pawned the stolen items at local pawnshops. Mire was located at the parish courthouse on the warrants and transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond was not set at the time of the press release. 

Ricky L. Lantier, Sr., 37, 107 Foxglove Dr, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 14, 2012 at 7:48 pm at the residence listed above on a warrant for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family. A deputy patrolling the Patterson area located Lantier on the warrant. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $12,538.89.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division reports the following arrests:

Lacy Lapoint, 18, 419 Sandi Dr, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 14, 2012 at 6:53 pm on Federal Ave. in Morgan City, LA for possession of marijuana. Agents conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that ran a stop sign. During the course of the investigation marijuana was located inside the vehicle. Lapoint was released on a summons to appear in court on October 29, 2012.@

Eric Driskill, 37, 3107 Second St, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 14, 2012 at 7:30 pm on Federal Ave. in Morgan City on a warrant for possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription. Driskill was located on the warrant and transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond was set at the time of the press release.


