Agents of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division were patrolling the Siracusaville area when they observed a vehicle that failed to signal a turn. When agents attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle fled crashing into a tree stump on Ciro St. During the course of the investigation agents located heroin and firearms. The heroin has an approximate street value of $45,000. Both suspects were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond had been set for either at the time of the press release.
Barry Lee Jones, 25, 310 S. Railroad Ave, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 11, 2012 at 8:18 pm on Ciro St. in Siracusaville, LA for possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and violation of CDS law (Drug Free Zone).
Brennan Norton Skinner, Sr., 20, 1061 Grace St. Siracusaville, LA was arrested on August 11, 2012 at 8:18 pm on Ciro St. in Siracusaville for possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, violation of CDS law (Drug Free Zone), resisting an officer by flight, and warrants for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery, failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana, simple battery and simple criminal damage to property. He was also wanted on warrants from the Morgan City Police Department for probation violation and simple battery domestic.
