One of the fastest growing cities in the state is getting a major makeover in order to keep up with its growing population.
Downtown Youngsville is getting a major facelift that could attract new people to the area.
Thursday night the Youngsville City Council gave their final plan approval for the beautification of Downtown Youngsville.
Currently the downtown has only a few businesses, crumbling roads from the increase in traffic and hardly any landscaping. But according to Mayor Viator phase one will cost just over a million dollars and is aimed at one thing.
"To revitalize the downtown, to make it more business friendly, hopefully to improve the area for businesses that are there and to attract more" said Viator.
TV10's Rob Mallia further explains how the makeover will not only beautify Youngsville's Downtown but could boost their economy in the video above.
