Students at one school in Hammond won't be carrying textbooks this school year.

All students at St. Thomas Aquinas will be assigned an ipad, and each ipad will have apps or text files with textbooks on them.

The technology director has been holding tutorial sessions for students during the summer.

Every classroom has an apple television so students and teachers can display the work from each ipad onto the tv for class discussions.
