Wednesday is the unofficial Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day. As of 2:00 Tuesday afternoon, more than 529,000 people on Facebook had accepted an invitation to take part in the event. It was created by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.
He called for the celebration after the fast food chain found itself in the middle of a controversy. Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy recently said he believes in the Biblical definition of marriage between a man and a woman.
Though, Cathy said he loves and respects anyone who disagrees. Supporters of same-sex marriage have accused the chain of discrimination. They are calling for a boycott. Chick-fil-A says it doesn't discriminate against anyone.
