Fatal Crash in Livingston Parish - Acadiana's Multi-Media News Station

There was a single-crash yesterday that claimed the life of a Walker man.  It happened just around 6pm last night west of LA 447 in Livingston Parish.  66 year old Larry E. Dunlap, was driving without a seatbelt east on Arnold road where he entered into a curve and ran off the road.  His pickup ran into the ditch and struck a culvert before stopping.  Because Dunlap was not wearing  a seatbelt during the crash and he was partially ejected.  He was then airlifted to Ochsner Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.  Troopers do suspect impairment may have been a factor in the crash.  The crash is still under investigation.
