
A Baton Rouge teenager was among those wounded when a gunman opened fire in a crowded Colorado movie theater.
According to WAFB TV 18-year-old Bonnie Kate Pourciau was shot in the knee.
Pourciau was undergoing surgery for her injuries. Her parents were en route to Colorado to be with her, a family friend said.
Elizabeth Sumrall, who is also from the Baton Rouge area, was also in the theater. Family members said she and Pourciau are friends. Sumrall was not injured in the shooting.
A former medical student in a gas mask barged into a crowded theater in Aurora, CO during a midnight showing of the Batman movie on Friday.
He hurled a gas canister and then opened fire, killing 12 people and injuring at least 50 others in one of the deadliest mass shootings in recent U.S. history.
