Police Conduct Underage Possession of Alcohol Operation - Acadiana's Multi-Media News Station

On July 19, 2012, Lafayette Police conducted an underage alcohol possession operation targeting those individuals under the age of 21 in possession of alcohol at businesses within the City of Lafayette.

A total of 8 locations were checked during the operation. Of the 8 locations, only 4 persons under the age of 21 were found in possession of alcohol.  Locations checked where persons found in violation:

Marley's, 407 Jefferson St., 1 - Summons for Poss of Alcohol by person under 21

Nitetown, 524 Jefferson St., 3- Summons for Poss of Alcohol by persons under 21

Authorities also checked The Office, Legends, The Green Room, Frankie Burger, City Bar,  and Bootleggers, but no violations were found.
