OPELOUSAS, La. (AP) - The Board of Aldermen adopted a resolution this week to enter into an agreement with the St. Landry Parish Council to build a road in front of a charter school that's set to open later this month. The St. Landry Parish Council Chairman Wayne Ardoin said the council will consider the proposal at a July 18 meeting. Representatives of J.S. Clark Leadership Academy said the charter school is prepared to help pay $31,000 toward the roadwork.
