While working street sales disruption, agents recognized 32 year old Cobi Broussard of Abbeville, standing outside of his residence on Alphonse St.
Broussard was wanted on an outstanding narcotics warrant by the task force. Agents approached Broussard and while taking him into custody on the warrant, Broussard was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was charged with possession of Marijuana, with other charges to follow.
On 7-10-12 agents executed another arrest warrant on 39 year old Emmanuel Campbell, AKA " Mac Boo" of Abbeville, for possession with the intent to distribute a schedule IV narcotic. Upon the arrest agents located three other pill bottles with several pills in them. Each bottle had a suspicious label, which looked to be removed from another bottle and affixed to the ones found on him. Agents also noticed that some of the bottles were over a year old but still had over 60 pills in them.
Agents recognized this to be the same method Campbell used on earlier arrests to elude being charged with the prescription pills. Campbell was taken into custody and charged with three counts of possession with the intent to distribute schedule IV narcotic and one count of possession with the intent to distribute schedule III. Agents also seized seven hundred thirty dollars in suspected drug proceed monies. Total bond has not been set at this time.
