Mortgage Contracting Services is opening a new business center in Ruston. Today the company announced it will open a business process outsourcing center in August.
MCS does property inspections and maintenance of vacant homes for mortgage companies. The project will create 90 new direct jobs and over 130 indirect jobs.
Governor Bobby Jindal says this is another sign Louisiana is out-performing the economies in other southern states. The Ruston center will track maintenance, repairs and inspections of homes going up for sale.
The company plans to start hiring full-time employees in August. Jindal also commented on rumors that he could be Mitt Romney's running mate. He said he'll leave that decision to the Romney campaign.
