A 911 call came in at approximately 1:10 p.m. this afternoon regarding a house on fire at 1224 Zin Zin Road in Breaux Bridge. Upon arrival, the firefighters were met with a single story structure that was fully involved. No one was in the home at the time of fire and there were no injuries sustained in relation to this incident.
Thirty firefighters from the Breaux Bridge, Henderson, Evangeline and Parks Volunteer Fire Departments responded and controlled the fire in approximately one hour. Fire Crews remained on scene for an additional three hours putting out hot spots.
The structure was deemed a total loss and the cause of fire remains under investigation.
