Pilot Injured in Crash - Acadiana's Multi-Media News Station

A small plane crashed in New Iberia near Dubois Road in Friday morning.

Officials say the pilot was practicing landings and takeoffs all morning in the same field the plane crashed on. When the pilot came down for one of the landings, the plane hit a power line, causing it to crash.

Two men from a nearby business pulled the pilot from the plane. He sustained injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
