Forget about run-of-the-mill mutt monikers – Banfield Pet Hospital has just released its annual list of the top 10 weirdest pet names and, not too surprisingly, neither "Bella" nor "Max" made the cut.

Each year Banfield, the world's largest veterinary practice, identifies the top trends in pet names, based on its database of patients from 780 animal hospitals. And every year there are a few rather unusual standouts.

So without further pawdo, these are the top 10 weirdest and wildest names of 2011:

2. Sir Goose Slobberalot
3. Beetle Juice Monster Pants
4. Chairman Meow
5. Honey's Lil Midnight Moonshine
6. Lord Godrick Von Mousenberg
7. Emperor Chewy Teddybear
8. Cookie Fudge Rainbow
9. Baron Von Doodle
10. Alyssa Butter Scooch
