Effective immediately, Grand Point Road, LA 347, between LA 328 and Doyle Melancon is closed due to high water. The road will be reopened as soon as the road condition improves.
Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route and avoid this area.
Effective immediately, La. 726 is closed due to high water. The road will be reopened as soon as the road condition improves.
The following roads are closed because of high water: Both West and East Bound lanes on I49 near Mile Post 7. East and west bound lanes on LA 182 between Carencro and Sunset.
State police advise everyone stay away from the area because of a huge safety issue.

University Avenue from Ira Street to St. Anne Street.
Prejean Road from University to Gourmet.
Saint Charles St., Jack St., Armand St., Fado St., Veterans Drive from I-49 to University, Te Ma Road, Ovide St., Rue Basin, Richard St.
