Clinic Director & Chiropractic Physician
While growing up in Morgan City, LA I was first introduced to chiropractic at a young age for lower back problems. The chiropractic lifestyle made sense to me and I knew even before entering high school what I wanted to do with my life. After attending Louisiana State University I completed my chiropractic degree at Parker College of Chiropractic in 1999. Since then, I have enjoyed calling Lafayette home over the last decade.
I believe that in today's world, doctors should be teachers. We therefore look at ourselves as educators as well as doctors. After ten years of practice, my goal is to empower every patient to control their own health, first through believing that health is in fact something that you can control. We begin by addressing all facets of health: attitude, proper rest and of course, chiropractic. Our chiropractic philosophy utilizes corrective care therapy with the intention of preventing illness before it manifests itself. We treat the body with the intention of improving and enhancing the immune and nervous system thus preventing future ailments.
I have come to realize a simple fact while in practice - the power that made the body will heal the body. If we allow this inborn power to work then we have every pill, potion, lotion, bolt, screw, etc… that we need for our body to heal already inside of us. Chiropractic is a way to enhance and improve this inborn innate intelligence.

I was born and raised in Westlake, LA. I attended McNeese State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Following graduation I moved to Houston to begin training in chiropractic at Texas Chiropractic College. After practicing in Texas for a period of time I have now found my way back home to settle down in Lafayette. I love being back.
Not only am I a doctor of chiropractic, but a patient as well. I was exposed to chiropractic at a young age and it has always been part of my life. After being born premature and having a difficult delivery my mother was informed that it would be some time, probably a few years, until my neck was back to normal development. I began chiropractic at 6 weeks old and after returning for a 3 month exam it appeared that my spine was back on track for normal development and I have been a faithful chiropractic patient ever since.
My goal at Pinhook Chiropractic is to educate and increase awareness to the public about the dangers of vertebral subluxation and the simple things we can do every day to live longer, healthier, happier lives.

From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a chiropractor. In high school, I was very active and sustained several injuries to my low back. Nothing seemed to help and low back injuries became a chronic source of pain for me. I became friends with a classmate whose father is a chiropractor in Central Louisiana and finally found relief from low back pain.
As a chiropractor, I have found Purpose and a Mission to help people. Not only to serve people through my hands and chiropractic, but to help people by teaching them to gain control of their health.
A 2004 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, I have been in practice since 2005. I have had the opportunity to work with some wonderful practices in Atlanta, GA, Baton Rouge and Lake Charles. Originally born in Northern California, I have long claimed Louisiana as my home.
I am excited and proud to be part of a leading team in the wellness revolution for Lafayette.

I first witnessed chiropractic at the age of ten years old. My father was working as a skilled carpenter for a yacht company in Morgan City, LA. He sustained a critical injury after falling from an unsecured scaffold onto a piece of steel which left him with a punctured lung and multiple broken ribs. We were told by doctors that his spinal cord was nearly traumatized in the injury and that he was lucky. Unfortunately, he did not avoid severe injury to his spine. I witnessed the power of chiropractic at a young age as his chiropractor helped him along his road to recovery.
Years later, while attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as a Biology major, I was involved in a string of automobile accidents. The accidents caused severe injuries to my back and neck. Within a few months of chiropractic care, my neck and back pain disappeared. My doctor had explained that I had subluxation in my neck which caused me to have a "straight neck" (a result of whiplash injury). I was amazed in the body's ability to heal itself through chiropractic care. My chiropractor helped me regain a normal healthy neck again. My passion to become a chiropractor was fully ignited.
My wife and I both graduated as chiropractic physicians with honors from Parker University in Dallas, Texas where I also achieved a B.S. in Anatomy and another B.S. in Health & Wellness.
I am excited to be a part of the leading Health & Wellness care team in Acadiana here at Pinhook Chiropractic. I firmly believe that health is a responsibility. In order to be responsible, you must be willing to take action. Choosing to enroll as a chiropractic patient is the first step. Only then can we ensure that you have the foundational tools that are needed to achieve your highest quality of life.
