Acadiana's News Leader Carencro Mardi Gras Preps

Carencro--Several cities in Acadiana are gearing up this weekend for their annual Mardi Gras parade.  First to hit the streets tomorrow is the city of Carencro, and despite the rain, people were out all day prepping for their big day.

Barricades lined North University Street in Carencro. The barricades are meant to keep the thousands of people who are expected to attend at a safe distance away from the dozens of moving floats. The parade starts at 11 A.M. tomorrow at Carencro high school.
