Acadiana's News Leader Lafayette Dr. Youngest Ever President

A kidney specialist from Lafayette has the distinction of being the youngest doctor to ever be elected president of the Louisiana State Medical Society. At age 37 Doctor Anthony Blalock is the youngest president in the advocacy group's 134-year history. Blalock also serves as the chief Medical Officer at Our Lady of Lourdes. He's the society's third president to call the hub city his home.
