
Wednesday's severe weather created some widespread problems in parts of Acadiana. There were several reports of wind damage in the Duson area. But the National Weather Service says the damage was not caused by any tornadoes. But that's not to say other parts of the state went unscathed. The National Weather Service did confirm an EF1 tornado touched down in the city of Westlake in Calcasieu Parish. And there are also reports of an EF0 tornado touching down in the southern area of Sabine Parish. There were dozens of reports about wind damage in different cities and towns. But fortunately most of it was limited to a few downed power lines that were caused by falling tree limbs or trees, and that includes Rapides parish
